Hello - I always hear about quality back-links and I would like to know about what qualify a link to be considered a quality one. I noticed lot of members make such big deal or at least promote having signatures links etc. Is having a signature link in DP for example considered a quality one? I can see that it might be great for websites related to the webmasters industry but I don't see how it could be helpful to a barber shop website for example? isn't google smart enough to make difference between different niches/markets/businesses and identify what's a good backlink or not? I'm just curious and concerned if such practices can hurt more than help. This SEO stuff sounds like an art more than a science to me. Each one got different opinion but I would like to hear from your experiences. Your thoughts ladies and gentlemen
Quality back link measn you have link with a site which are popular like DP yes it's will count quality back link from DP signatuure. Also get back lin from high Pr directory, Article and social bookmarking link also consider quality back link
Is that from your own experience or in general? might be it's good for you, considering your links are related but not for me ? That was part of the question
Related topic links or niche backlinks in other words, are the highest quality links...especially when they come from in side the content body, not just signature links or footer links...but apart of relevancy one more thing that matters is credibility or popularity of a backlinking site...thus links from sites like DP or social bookmarks are always worth spending time
The SEO stuff is really more of an art than simple logical actions. And in this line of thoughts - the best of the best of quality links are the linkbait responses - when you manage to provoke people to link back to something you posted somewhere... Don't ask how, and don't ask why, for it happens in the way art happens - by inspiration, not by pushing it.
Links from high PR relevant sites and contents are the best. Forum sig links and social bookmarking links carry little or no link juice in my opinion.
I heard this was true also. I guess back in the day sig and directory links were very strong but now they are not as strong. I guess quality would be high pr and relevant to your site.
For me quality links are from: - related topic page - linking page/site must have authority in your site's field (check title of the page with you keyword) - in-content link - good PR page - stable/permanent link (in my opinion, removed links can harm your site)
Quality links means the links from the old websites, authority websites, relevant blogs and from the pages having not many external links.
There are thousands of thing by which you can decide either it's a quality link or not. Some of these are- i) Relevant site. ii) Have Google page Rank on the Page iii) Have Good and unique content iv) Less Outbound or No links on the page v) Have Links in yahoo vi) Recent cached by Google etc
