It is not the only site url that affects site rankings but relevancy as well..Keyword in url is one criteria that helps search engine what the content in the container (IE or firefox...) will be about..

But they do not take that as a blind rule ...They check title, paragraph, tags, alt tags ,in page links ,outbound links , contexual metrics n myriads of factors...So in nutshell it is the content that decides the nature n other factors are added to its check rule...

If you dont have the targeted keyword on your domain dont worry, but still than focus on your targeted keyword with a density between 4-7%

You can also boost up your keywords if it is not present there in the naming conventions of the site, you can use other means to improve the relevancy of the page relevant to the keywords.

    Density means nothing.

A keyword in a domain name has a value, but having your domain in the form well... something like: www.i-wanna-rank-for-this-keyword-and-that-one-and-also-these-two.com is way too stupid to seriously think it helps you much.

As for a keyword in a filename - I wouldn't bother too much. They help a bit, but the keyword in the text of a page itself has much more weight than a keyword in the filename of that page.

It is ok as CAD is related to engineering. But avoid misleading your visitors. I mean your content should always we relevant to what your site promotes and links should be appropriate. It is not necessary but advisable.

It is not important to have keyword in your main domain. SEO strategy is how you keep your on-page and off-page factors?

On-Page factors to follow: Content is the king, so optimize your content with quality content with a keyword density of 3-5%. Use keywords in your title tag, in headings (use one H1 tag per page), maintain proper internal linking, ALT image tags.

Off-Page factors to follow: Submit your website to quality and relevant article directories, web directories, PR directories, participate in forum discussions, blog commenting. Use proper keywords in your articles and website description while submitting to directories.

    Enjoy and good luck,

URL of the website is very important. You cannot promote the keywords if you dont have any URL to use for it. It is the main reason why are you going to promote a specific keyword.

It is better that the keyword that you are using is present at your landing page. The keyword density of that page should be less that 8%.
