Multiple PayPal accounts in different countries.

Hi All!

Does anyone have two or more PayPal accounts in different countries?
If so, what did you enter for an address in other country?

I have one PayPal account but I need another one.
So I want to open it in USA (I have a bank account there)

I am thinking of using just some random (but existing) address in USA as mine.

Any comments?

 

Well, if you are physically in the US, you can always open an account there.

If you are shifting to the US, you can always contact Paypal and made that into a US Paypal account.

Do not provide information which is not yours because to verify the account, you will most probably need to provide documentary proof sometime down the road that you are truly located in the US.

 

I will not recommend you to use an address that is not yours.

There are services that will rent you a mailbox and will forward all mail to your overseas address. These services however come at a cost.

 

Crap. I am not in USA and I am not moving there.

Don't let Paypal find out you are not living there or else there goes your account.

 

You will also need a U.S. contact telephone number.

I have two U.S. accounts from when I lived there and since yesterday they have frozen one because they couldnt contact me by telephone. You cannot update your profile to accept an international telephone number.

 

I believe you could however include your US bank account number to your non-US Paypal account so you can withdrawl or deposit from there if needed.

 

I found a service in the US which offers a phone number and
forwards the phone calls.
Now I will have both a forwarded mailing address and a phone number

They claimed it was a security check and to verify I owned the account. They sent me an email that day and within 24hrs it was locked.

 

Never heard of such a thing. Can you imagine them calling tens of millions of customers, some of which switch numbers and doesn't bother notifying. It doesn't make any sense, where you involved in some shady/suspected deals?

 

I have a U.S. business account with the debit card and have been using it here in Europe. They have probably seen loads of activity of funds going in US side and out in Europe so a flag was raised.

Nothing shady, just having got round to setting up an account in Ireland because I have just got my bank account up and running.
