Seems to be back online...for now.

Still some weird things - like new articles don't appear on the home page like they used to (at least for an hour - it seems to be delayed). And they definitely changed the rules regarding auto-approval, but not sure the exact changes yet.

Hopefully AB will at least stay online consistently now. My traffic was down about 20% today just because of the downtime.

As for now, I submit my articles without any problem. But I have a problem though when I want to edit them. I cant seem to edit any article as for now! It gives an error message.

I also noticed something strange! sometimes I link back to my older articlesbase articles. I noticed that all those links do not work now!!!. I mean links from from new articlesbase articles to my older articlesbase articles. Anyone noticed this issue too?

    ok... ;)

i understand this is a discussion forum.. but obviously the site will go down as they are working on the design and adding the database and hooking up the back end.. no point in whining about it and if you are totally reliant upon them then you need to spread your eggs around..

give them time and they'll get it together btw they go down all the time anyway... I get emails from my employees telling me they can't post all the time, but I tell them to just wait and give them time .. hopefully some day they will upgrade their servers to deal the with growth of their site..

rankings will not be affected by a design.. now if the structure changed and or links then yeh.. but a redesign has little to ZERO impact

I'll try harder next time to be an asshole... just thought i'd enjoy a mutual laugh about it .. cuz you post asshole comments all the time ;)

I guess they're at some point where they're looking for quality other than quantity...

Most of the guys are just wasting their time on the forum/ Dreaming and so on..

Some graphics are still not showing properly and one article got down to a ranking of only 50! That's the first time this happens to me. Btw, I submitted this very article yesterday just before the downtime.
    Anyone else having similar problem?

Seems they have removed the auto approval. I just submitted an article and it's under review.

Agreed. Anyone know what the minimum number of approved articles now is, before you're back on auto-approval? I miss auto-approval. :)

If you right click and press refresh it updates and shows stats straight away. You say 20% drop in traffic is articlebase your main submit site? As there are 3 others I use that allow auto submit and rank high in google.

No, 20% of my AB traffic (from Google Analytics).

Anyway, things seem to be back to normal now, which is definitely a positive.

I've noticed that auto-approve isn't in effect anymore as well.

While it was an invaluable feature, which I hope they bring back, you have to give ArticlesBase credit where credit is due: Their approval time is FAST. Usually a few hours to, at most, a day.

All new articles that i submit get a ranking of 50 only.
Does this effect the ranking in google in any way?

I wouldn't worry about it. Might just be an initial rating instead of giving EVERY article a rating of 300 right from the start.

As someone mentioned before, ArticlesBase may be looking to build up a bit more reputation by having higher quality articles.

And I don't believe it will cause any trouble with ranking in Google. Just backlink, bookmark and ping properly and you shouldn't have a problem getting it up in the SERPs.

One of the changes they made is now all the links on all my AB articles are now nofollow. Not only for the articles on AB, it's also in the code for articles that get published.
