Need help with WP blog

    Can some one help me how to get rid of the 404 errors I am getting.

    any help is appreciated.

    Click on any category get the 404 error
    Click on any Archives gets the 404 error

    Basically any link on the site gets a 404 error (I just re-installed 2.9.1 and imported from the old export I have)

    Not sure but maybe its due to .htaccess file. Have you tried to upload it properly.

    Well I can say that check the category slug and is matching with the export or not.

    I am not sure on these two cases referred above!

    Not an WP geek - Please see if you can give me detailed instructions on what I need to look for!

    Appreciate any help on this issue.

    hmm, any links error...i think don right. You can check the .htaccess file , maybe it's changed when you reinstall that 2.9.1 ...

    Hi I would just try again files are great for getting corrupted and most times a few trys are in order.

    i think you have change you permalinks settings from admin and mistakenly you have put wrong url in permalinks setting i can short out this problem if you post your url here
