    hello,

The tech/comp/internet niche is a tough one for adsense, ctr is low, i was wondering if a 1% ctr is good in the comp&internet niche, can someone fill me in based on personal experience, is it possible to have ctr's of 2-3% in this niche? thanks.

of course it is, if more people click the ads, then the % goes up?

that site is targeted at webmasters, which has an even lower ctr than the computer/net/tech niches as almost every visitor are aware about adsense, i am not referring to mmo and webmaster websites. Thanks for the reply.

I'm sure there are sites that easily do this in Adsense. Whats so surprising about that? 2-3% seems low to me.

1% is good for this niche. I have a webmaster related site that get 1% or less. The fact is, visitors in these niches KNOW what Google ads are and are lesw likely to click. They are also savy enough to visit an ad they are interested by going to the URL directly and not clicking.

Tech and Computer literate people are more than likely to be running some sort of ad blocker so a CTR of 1% is better than nothing when you take that in account. And tbh it's mainly the lurkers or people who just come across your site rather than returning visitors doing the ad clicks.

Right even I save the money of the advertisers. I prefer to type the site name. Most of the visitors know about google adsense so they avoid click on the ads. This is the reason the CTR is low.

actually the impressions are about right when i compare with sitemeter and G analytics which means an ad blocker isn't the issue. Also most of my visitors are new visitors, mainly organic search traffic.

Well, generous in a way but come to think of it publishers deserve a little something in return for their free content.
