I am on the 4th result on the 1st page for the search 'tv series board' with about 100,000,000 results, but I'm getting hardly any traffic.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Site is www.TheSeriesBoard.com

    Thanks for your help,
    John

This is a good ranking. You can say but how i could be possible for that you are not getting traffic from this keyword.

Maybe because that keyword isn't so much popular. Try to use a Keyword Popularity Tool and then, for the ones that ranks higher in your genre then, aim for those. You will see improvements. ;)!

The keyword "tv series board" has almost no searches in google. You rank that high because no competition for this keyword exists. I'm sorry to say this but ranking for this keyword is quite worthless if you are looking to get any traffic from google searches. Keep working! :)

Try selecting another key word which will get you a bit more useful customers
and you will have to do a bit rework again

The Exact Match is about 10,100 for "tv series board"
thats was very low use google insight, google trend, for keyword analysis you can compare search volume patterns across specific regions, categories, time frames and properties

    Hope u Satisfied

Don't be that pessimistic. I see that your domain is quite young. So let me ask a question - were you making any SEO or it just happened that your ranks 4th? Well, anyway, the only mistake you made is that you didn't make any researches before optimizing your website.
Now go and play with http://www.google.com/sktool/ - it would give you an idea on what keywords you should use to optimize your website.
Keep on working and you'll be successful. PM me if any questions, I'll try to help you.
    Cheers.

That's right ! Keyword research should be the first step before any optimization gets involved (on / off).

Maybe because that keyword isn't so much popular. Try to use a Keyword estimator Tool and and check per day hits of this keyword.

If you want to get traffic than target some competitive keywords. I am sure you will get traffic.
That's why people do more R&D for keywords research.

Always do your keyword research before hand and try to optimize for a term that actually gets traffic. If you use the Google keyword tool then you'll see that the term "tv series board" shows not enough data which pretty much means there are not enough searches to even show a result. Stay away from terms that show no data

Very nicely said - stay away from N/A terms. Speaking of this kind of terms let me tell you all a dark strategy some S.E.O. companies : they are using N/A terms to build a S.E.O. portfolio, so when a client takes a look at the number of websites ranking #1 in Google they will open they're wallet very fast and loose thousands in an instant - sure, this kind of things take time, but for some of them time is money, money for nothing.

    Be aware!

try again in your keyword analysis, competition may be minimal for that keyword, and also how many people typed that word, most helpful to use google keyword externaltools
