Does MySpace Block IP Addresses?

Over the last couple days, I setup two profiles to collect some data about MySpace. To my disappointment, both have already been deleted (neither profile was promoting anything or spamming). When I tried to create a new profile, it was instantly deleted. Does this mean that my IP has been blocked by MySpace?

OK, looks like I've got everything straightened out now. However, if anyone has heard of MySpace blocking IPs, it would still be interesting to know ;)

I guess MySpace was just having some glitches because I would be able to access my accounts, and then a few minutes later it would say that the accounts were invalid.

I highly doubt they'd actually ban an IP but I'm positive they delete and ban accounts constantly ;)

If they banned your accounts, which they definetly might not have, and there is a glitch in the system which occurs periodically, then they have taken your account creation abilities temporarily off.

This should be reinstated within the day usually.:)

I had a similar problem yesterday when I created a new profile account. Right after I got through with the registration. It instantly had the "Invalid Friend ID.This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted." Everything was fine after an hour or two but I did make sure to get a new IP before signing into my "larger" accounts.

No, but if they did, you could use a proxy!

I had the same bug today. I made three accounts, and before even geting to the profile page...it gave out an error that it was deleted. I thought my domain in the E-mail address, or IP address had been banned!!

Exactly, luckily they give you access eventually.

One thing for everyone to keep in mind (which is easy to forget when making several accounts): You have to click the link in the email MySpace sends to activate your account

    I don't think so...

    http://www.adderrobot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=153

But just in case, I use my own domain that has a catch-all E-mail address that I can look at to get anything...anything that Google doesn't mark down as SPAM and delete.

Sometimes they are fixing the site so that is why it gives errors, other times it is an unkown glich. For me if i get that error i just use a different browser like opera or IE.

I can't even signup on myspace, I just get a message saying Sorry, an error occured.

So I have to use my myspace account I registered a while back.
