Just wondering if someone could help me think of ideas for my new site. I'm not going to give out the domain but its something along the lines of www.crazystuff.com Code (markup): I'v already had the ideas of putting crazy facts, videos, pictures, news on there but I really want to do something more unique. So any ideas would be appreciated.
You can put viral photos / pics and videos, lolcats and the like. But it is going to be difficult to monetize this competitive niche (humor).
Maybe some videos along the lines of Jackass or pranks. I know it's not exactly unique but it will definitely attract people.
There is all kind of crazy stuff people buy. The Hot Dog from Seahawks Stadium comes to mind. There is all kinds of random stuff on eBay so I'd try that...do so searches and see what gets bids that is kind of crazy. You could play off the name...CrazyCheapStuff or CrazyExpensiveStuff ...things like that.
Well it's either you decide to start a blog or website about what you want to define by "crazy stuff" or try to sell the domain name since I am sure a lot of people would bet on it.
Hi. I think the best way to promote your site and its content is to put more engagement objects to it so that your market segment could interact with you and get the pulse of your readers right away. I do the same thing for my article writing sites. It never fails to attract more readers and putting more "engagement objects" to it would give you a great idea of how you could come up with more creative materials to your site.
Once you have enough content, you could give people the option of ordering their favourite pictures and sayings on t-shirts, bumper stickers, and posters. Just make sure you specialise in something you can do that with.
You can also put up video clips and pics or you doing or saying random crazy stuff. You'll be surprised how many returning visitors you can get by promoting yourself. People are always interested in the lives of others. Just make it interesting and i'm sure you'll have fun doing it as well
