Hello, is there room for a new freelancing website? what's your ideas and suggestions about this topic? Thanks
Yes there are room for new comer. As long as you can innovate current standard. Such as provide extra service to protect seller and buyer from getting scammed.
Don't let anyone ever tell you a market is to crowded. All you need to do is find your unique position in the market. Ask yourself, what makes you different? If you can find an answer to that, and your competitors can't easily block your entry to the market by offering the same thing, then you have a winner
thanks for the feedbacks its a bit of a dilemma for me, i've been trying to do a successful online business for few years now and nothing seems to be working so am seeking a new way of investing my money, i tried free stuff and selling ads and i earned like $10 in month so it sucks i got like $5k to try and invest something proper online, not sure if its worth it or no any ideas? Thanks.
Its gonna be tough. If you can feed in real jobs then go for it. Or may be if you have a unique idea.
This. If you want to make another freelance forum for people to get together and trade/buy/sell their internet services such as coding, programming and websites the you should probably forget it. It's hard enough competing with people on here when they are using such extremely low hourly rates. I think you should have some sort of website where companies can actually post their jobs and have people send in resumes to either work for full time, part time, contract, ect, ect. Only add in that it has to deal with the web, so only web design, coding, flash development, ect. Even then, you should consider keeping it within a certain area (such as your country, or if in the USA, your state), because there already a lot of generic websites where companies can post resumes.
Thanks for all the advice, i guess its too much hassle then to start jobs or freelancing, it will drain all the money i saved for online project.
There might be room for a bond company that provides bonds to web developers and the work they perform. I would happily add 10% to the total cost of a project in order to guarantee the work and timeline. Now run with it...
As theyve said, its pretty crowded. However, if you can find some sort of niche freelance thing, maybe you could become the dominant player in that.
