Does Google hate .info's?

    Does Google discriminate against .info's?

There's one with a major keyword and over 1M in monthly searches for the keyword but not sure how Google views them.

I don't think Google would treat any domain suffixes differently if only you perform your SEO jobs according to the Google's guidance. (BTW, Google does have a nice ebook on its site for download by SEO starters.) :)

    Have a nice day,

Google is not a man who respect the domain name according to the caste system. All are same in the google eye whether it is .com, .info, .org, .net, etc.

Not Google but many visitors hate .info domains...as they are used to see such domains with low quality, MFA sites...so in conclusion, .info is not a good choice for a long run:rolleyes:

Whilst Google may not discriminate against a .info etc. domain ending, they are not all the same. From my experience in the UK, if you have a site which ends .org.uk vs a site which ends .co.uk with the same number of backlinks with the same anchor text, then the .co.uk will appear above it for that associated search term.

Google never thinks about TLDs... you should have emphasis on you information or content that you are providing. So i don.t think .com is better than .info or other domains.

I agree after thinking about it.

I know personally I can't stand the .info sites I've visited as they were all MFA sites.

Actually .info is AWESOME for anything that has to do with "information".

Like.... online-banking.info is a 100% match to "online baking info".... So just use it wisely.

I think people discriminate .info and you wouldn't have so many visits with .info like with .com

I searched over 20 keyword phrases and on each one, not one single .info domain came up on the first page. Only thing that comes up is .com domains.
