New Layout Review...

I have been working on my layout for a while now and it's finally finished, please let me know what you think to it, how it could be improved, and what you like/dislike about it.

Do you mean the bar along the bottom with the Twitter Dashboard? If so you can create a car thingy at wibiya.

I didn't see what this site looked like before but I can tell you there's a fundamental error in the design of your menu/tab bar at the top. You have the color blue over the selected and deselected tabs, AND again on the frame which the tabs flow into. I see that the "Home" link is in White, but this is not sufficient from a usability standpoint.

Please see this page as an example:

When a user gets to your page, your 'selected' tab or default tab should be a highlighted color which matches the area below it (or the area it connects to). The other tabs (i.e. the deselected tabs, or the tabs "behind" it) should be a different color completely.

See how in the tab example the Mac Tab 2 looks "active"? You can also quickly see that the items below Mac Tab 2 'belong' to Mac Tab 2.

I think nobody can say that the old design was better than the new.

I think its nice, but i also think it doesnt really match the "web 2.0" yet.

You should try to add more shiny and more photoshop into this maybe.

 

You got some very interesting stuff on there like the "History of lego" I thought that was pretty interesting, nice job.

 

Ahh thank you, I was hoping someone would mention the loading speed, its a little slow for me but I think thats just because of a slow computer.

I liked your new layout! It's far more better than the old one..The only thing that I think you should replace is - your logo/heading of the blog - FUNKY FACTS.
Can you make it somewhat stylish so that it will get more attention! It's looking very simple as compared to the whole blog!
