how do you apply for overture/ premium publisher?? not sure exactly what that's called?

also can anyone convert alexa ranking to 20 million hits?

I think they mean actual visitors not "hits". Hits is a horrible measurement that I think counts for every image, etc that is loaded on your pages.

Page views and uniques are the only meaningful stats.

alsj, Overture used to supply paid listings (text ads) to major search engines like yahoo, altavista b4 yahoo bought it a long time ago. It is now called Yahoo Search Marketing. I am not sure but overture can be the mother of all textual ads.

the reason why I ask the conversion between alexa / page view is because it's hard for me to check page views for my domain, because I use many subdomains and it's really hard.. how about bandwidth? can anyone convert bandwidth to page views??

I get around 50K alexa.. does this count as 20 million views??

alexa ranking is not accurate, thus not trustyworthy. It is a guess work and more alexa users to your site means better ranking regardless of your actual traffic. I never used alexa tool bar and I don't know even one person who does.

Google Analytics which is the new Urchin is your best bet, 90% of the time if your alexa is 50K you should have 20 million impressions but this is not always true. DigitalPoint has an alexa rating of 125, because a lot of geeks with the alexa toolbar go to this forum, but there is no way that DigitalPoint.com is the 125th largest domain on the internet.

 

I wish I had all traffic on one domain spot.. I have 4000 subdomains and it's impossible to put google code (stats)..

I'm ak 56k Alexa but you can't go by that at all really. It only counts if people have the toolbar installed since my site is mostly teens they don't usually have the toolbar installed
