I want to share this article I read, today: What do you think?:)

The latest earnings report from Google has some not-so-good news for web publishers (bloggers included) who are monetizing their online content through the Google AdSense program.

    Here's the link

Yes, Google has been lowering the payout to publishers but it still remains high enough for me now. Once it drops below a certain amount I start looking elseware for ppc advertising for my websites.
    Thanks for the article.

that is not such a big decrease. maybe just some small variations. we'll just have to wait for the next google report and see how it will evolve.

Thanks for the article link but i think the variation is for a time being, as google's own profits are decreasing, when they have any sound profits then it may go upward.
So, don't get disappointed by Adsense. Its still pay much better than others.

They are doing it because most of the website owners are depending on google adsense.
Once they won't, google will need us more than ever.
It can take years, but if they will reduce it every 4 months, it will come earlier than expected.

There are a number of assumptions made in calculating the percentage share, which could cause the small, alleged drop in revenue share. Personally a few percentage points won't make much difference.
The world economy and companies advertising budgets will have a far greater impact on earnings, although I've seen my adsense earnings increase by about 50% compared to the same period last year.
Perhaps companies are diverting more of their advertising budget to on-line advertising in preference to conventional printed media.

I suppose it's the same for any corporate environment. With there being more competition out there now, if google can reduce the prices for the people paying the ads, they'll get more business etc etc. I know it means that theoretically we earn less due to this, however, with the internet being an expanding thing, there's always the chance for us to re-coop our losses

the percentage goes up and down because that's how much they paid out.
part of the publishers cut for this quarter will not be paid out.

I don't see any problem with that as long as you have good traffic and high paiyng niches... google can always change its policies and rules..we have no choice but to follow..

Google never discloses how much it pays to the publishers. Your report is based on some assumptions. Google search Engine algorithm keeps on changing almost every quarter and thus a person may see reduction in SERP, He may be getting good amount from US bound traffic earlier but with change of Algorithm the traffic may not be US bound for same number of clicks.
