Whats the point of buying traffic?

I mean directly from people on DP selling "uniques" or USA traffic...


I cant see the point unless you are trying to sell your website/blog and want to make the analytics look good, bump the visitor/pageview stats.


Its not targeted traffic and its not permanent, so what is the point?

I would probably agree that there is not much point to buying traffic of any kind unless you are trying to inflate your visitors for some reason.

Legitimate traffic generation is the best, but takes time.

The only reason that some may consider buying traffic is just to get an initial interest, but generally I would not expect very good responses.

 

I would´t buy traffic unless it gives me traffic that my website can really use.

 

The buyer buy it to hope that auto surf people will sticky coming back to their site if they found out their site have strong content.

 

I think buying links from high pagerank website other than to bring traffic as well to increase pagerank and appears in the top ten Google SE. And traffic coming from google is usually more valuable

 

Buying traffic is a waste of resources for 99% of sites. Some very unique sites may benefit from this type of traffic...I can't really think of any though.

 

I have tried to buy bulk traffic before and it doesn't result in any sale although I get thousands of visitors, so I guess it's only good if you want just unique hits to your site.

 

Perhaps in order to fake.

 

What if you freelance to a website and get paid per hits to your article's page ?

 

They would probably notice the referrer

NO one using Auto Surfs (apart from the total newbie) look at the sites on Auto surfs. so your theory is out the window.

Personally I will not waste money on buying visitors or email addresses - they are both a total waste of time and money.

You would get more use out of your money burning it to keep you warm.

 

Depends on the site..Sites sometimes buy to grow there site. They buy to increase bookmarkers. No one buys traffic from niches that have nothing to do with there sites. That is plain stupid.

 

there are some people might buy traffic to pump up the traffic for a month, and resell the website for a higher price

 

i guess.. it's very simple, you'll earn money (if u promoting cpa or aff link) from ur traffic. some people said if u can generate 1k unique visitor to ur cpa link, there will be 1% chance to get sales or lead.

 

only buy traffic if there is potential for sales/profit, otherwise it is quite pointless other then adding to the PR of your website. Pay for 6 billion visitors you would get ranked pretty high haha
