DigitalPoint Backlinks

Hi Friends,
I've been active on DP for several months. Recently I checked my backlinks with a few different tools - SEOMoz's new backlink checker, BacklinkWatch.com, etc. I don't see any of the links from my signature. Advice? I love the information that I get here and the backlinks would be a bonus.

Mabye there no-follow? Mabye the websites dont pick up forums links... Theres heaps of possibilities ^_^

 

Signature link in DP is dofollow.
They should provide a good backlink for you.
Why don't you try yahoo site explorer to check once more.

 

1 - 2 backlinks from DP have minor effect, If you have 5000 posts on DP, this is a big diffrence.

 

DP Signature links are Do-Follow

 

As others have said, it could just be the fact that the search engines havnt browsed specific posts by you yet.

 

DP signature is Dofollow, Try yahoo site explorer or Wait some time. it will show DP Signature link as a back link.

 

yes yahoo explorer will give your right results.

 

I am also getting lots of backlinks in Backlinkwatch by Digital Point.

use Google webmaster tools.

SEOMoz uses its own internal crawler and it doesn't update as frequently as Google or yahoo.

 

Try Siteexplorer , It shows you backlinks of dp as well. But it takes some time. so wait until it update.

 

No doubt that it is do follow. Those types of tools sometimes are not acurate. Don't worry about it because it is do follow so thats all you need to know

yahoo backlink checker has been pretty slow to update recently and a lot of link checking tools rely heavily on it's api, to cut a long story short, if yahoo isn't responding, most link checkers wont be doing very well either, just sit and wait they'll appear, and signiture links aren't of any great value anyway.

 

FWIW, in my experience yahoo explorer has been very slow to update recently. Maybe that's why?

Search engines should be all over DP like bees over nectar... Having your posts on DP crawled by search engines is a near certainty...

 

DP posts indexes a quite fast on serp, thats a good thing.

Probably you have to give it some time.

 

SEO Moz isn't really that reliable for specific links, although I like the information that they can get you.

I've found that most of my DP backlinks are counted by both Google (they don't show up, but I have a Google Alert on my screen name) and Yahoo within 24 hours of posting.
