YEs i am frustrated,i submitted three of my site ,every two months ,and still i don"t have any site in dmoz,
    .
The last i submitted was this in my link signiture,i saw today that i have visit from dmoz but my site is not listed ,
I think that only way to be listed is on "other" way in dmoz because i saw many spamy sites about mesothelioma and they are listed in dmoz.

I think that my site has nice resources about mesothelioma and I think that it deserves to be in DMOZ.

Still looking for an editor who will help me.

bahahaha 4:30am funnies!!! thanks for the laugh.

OP, demonstrate to us(DP) your case as to why your site is so much better than all of the others out there, and why you deserve a dmoz listing and not the thousands, possibly tens and even hundreds of thousands that were made prior to yours.

    This should prove interesting.

It's not necessary and won't increase your chances for inclusion by resubmitting every 2 months. If you resubmit to the same category, it overwrites the previous submission. If an editor sorts the submissions by date, you're moving yours further down the list each time you resubmit.

Suggesting that you think the only way to get listed is the "other" way and mentioning that you're looking for an editor who would help you might yield the opposite result, depending on how your comments are interpreted.

You've made other editors aware of which site you're interested in having included, and I'll bet that any editor that does list your site will end up having their editing history scrutinized. The visit you saw in your logs may have been coincidental, but you have to wonder if it isn't the result of this discussion.

I've submitted some sites to dmoz, and I'll guess that it's been quite a bit longer than what you're experiencing as some of the submissions were over 2 years ago. Frustrated? No, as I'm not concerned if the submission is added or not. I've got better things to do - but I do admit that I'd like to know that my suggestions were received.

Ever consider that the category you submitted to might have a cesspool of unreviewed submissions and there's not be much interest in wading through all of the crap to find a gem or two? I'll just guess that a high % of the submissions to that category are MFA sites with the main focus of generating revenue from high paying keywords with a complete disregard of the information provided.

My guess is you're in for a long wait for a review.

You're assuming that your site was reviewed. You have no way of knowing the reason for the visit.

Yahoo and DMOZ have different editors who will view the site differently. They will have different guidelines and different tools for validating sites. Last time I looked DMOZ editors didn't refer to the Yahoo directory for listing confirmations.

Getting back to the point. You won't find an editor at this forum who is willing to publicly give your site any sort of priority.
