Feedback I have been given wrong infractions

for reals, there seems to be wrong with this DP system.

i got two wrongful infractions, i wish they be taken out from my account.

at first I thought that it was my fault for not paying attention to what category I was posting my thread.

but clearly, just a moment ago, I went to post a job inquiry under:
BTS - Content Creation - Design

I was offering sketches for sales

a little while later I check to find out I got infraction for posting that thread under Freebies???...

I did not post it under that!

I thought: "What the???"

If a moderator could please, retract the infraction, I would appreciate it, or move my thread to my original?

can it be done?

has anyone experienced the same as me?

I just hope this thread does not get posted under Freebies too and get another infraction.

i mean, my thread is more about "design" than price really. it makes more sense to me to have where most would be able to see it.

 

My advice is: when you get an infraction accept your mistake and don't do it again.
Mods will never give you infractions for no reason.

 

well, yea, nothing against the mods, they are just doing their job.

and i now know more about the rules of dp.

i will try not to do it again, to avoid future infractions

yet, i wish the system had just a little bit of common sense regarding that issue.

Setting the price a few cents above $5 will not change our perception of the value (as per the rules).

say a designer wanted to post a thread and was offering his/her services, lets say a creation of a logo for $5.50 cents

what category would that fall under?

BTS/Freebies

or

BTS/Services/Content Creation (I have a feeling it won't be considered here)

or

BTS/Services/Design

If you want to make things clear do not stick to $5.01-$5.99 prices - make it $6 and then you can post it outside "freebies".
why asking $5.50? better ask $5 and then it goes to freebies or ask $6 and then it goes to content.

 

If I were you, I would post that in BTS/Services/Design section.

 

As another member said, if you want to make sure it stays in a normal BST area where iTrader is enabled, don't set a price that close to $5. If it looks like someone's posting just a little bit higher to get around the $5 rule, it'll probably still be moved (we don't want people exchanging iTrader of deals of that level because scammers were coming in offering freebies and really cheap deals just to build their count to then turn around and scam people). It wouldn't go in content creation regardless. Logo design isn't content.

as I've mentioned before anything below $5 goes to freebies. Do not use values like $5.01 or $5.99 because it looks like you're trying to avoid the freebies rule. So anything from $6 above goes to the other sections depending on what you are selling. I think it is pretty simple.
@jhmattern: "Logo design isn't content" - I agree. I was explaining him the things in general.

 

ok my example was just an "instance situation". its not like I will go ahead now and make deals for $5.50 here.

i might add that making a 5.50 deals is not crime, is it? I can't think of anybody's reason for charging that specific amount, but there could be reasons...

it is just good know, and be clear of the rules of DP.

Why stick to $5.50 when you can easily stick to $5 or stick to $6? Decide yourself and post in the according category. I think this discussion was clear enough anyway to continue it. I will stop with explanations. Anyway the mods have already answered you anything you need to know.
