Google Docs have offered free file hosting for a while, but only certain file formats like pdf and Word documents. Within the next few weeks any type of file will be allowed google blog post. The file size limit will be 250 MB and the account limit will be 1 GB. Then you can purchase more if you like more info here.

Actually I have 10GB space free in my cell phone, so I would prefer to store all my data in my mobile. LOL

Using your mobile phone to store your files is no different than storing them on your itself or a flash drive. It doesn't serve quite the same purpose as cloud file hosting does.

This is actually rather interesting/good news. We know Google isn't going anywhere so there couldn't really be a better place to host your important files with confidence just in case.

Hmm? wouldn't it be more secure and safe to store you data on a server rather then a mobile phone. This gets backed up I thought. What if your phone fell and broke.

Well I mean, usually I have all my files and data in my laptop, and if I need to transfer them to another computer, I would use flash card or my mobile phone, this is extremly usefull when the other computer does not have any internet connection. So anyway I get my files backed up as well.

    Cheers
