ASIN stands for Amazon Standard Identification Number.

You can also make an API call using AWS.

 

a typical ASIN number will look like this: B0015T963C

 

I always grab my ASIN off the url.

e.g.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/123456789

It's always 3 slashes after the amazon.com string, regardless of what's between those slashes.
