When I sleep aka stand by Windows 7 and turn it on after sometime, in 5 second delay a message comes with blue background and white text, "Physical Memory dump"..or something like that. Is that happening with you guys too?

This doesn't happen unless you have having a problem with your memory. Do you know how much RAM you have installed in your system? You should check this out, or see how many programs running in the background as these could be eating up a lot, too.

Also why is this in the Search Engines forum? lol

I have 4GB RAM. This happens every time.

I thought it was to discuss Microsoft as a company and its products.

As it is mentioned above the problem can cause when the RAM is less than 4GB...
Try to get the latest updates of Win 7... But anyway I think that the OS is not installed properly....

You need to use the genuine version of Windows 7 in order to use it smoothly.
May be some files are missing in your current setup file of 7.

I have 8GB of DDR3, behaves bad on sleep in Windows 7. It's a problem inside the BIOS from what I've heard - regarding "active states" or Win7 in general.

Thing is, you are not alone!

There is nothing to do with the OS , the problem might be with your HDD :)

The problem could very well be that you are using a hacked/illegitimate version of Win 7. If that's the case, the best way to solve your problem is to get a valid Windows key. If you have a valid Windows installation, disregard what I just said.

If you are not running at least 3-4GB of RAM, you might want to upgrade, since Sleep mode requires a significant amount of free RAM in order to function properly. If you have enough RAM, update your system with Windows Update. If you can't use Windows Update... see the first sentence in this post.

If your system is fully updated, the problem might lie in a driver issue. Check with the manufacturer for all the latest drivers for your hardware. Also, some types of viruses or malware may be interfering with the normal operation of your system.

You probably do not want to hear this but it sounds like you need to reinstall Windows.

Umm, 8GB of RAM....I hope you have a 64bit system because a 32bit system does not support more than 4GB of memory.

My best guess is that, this issue occurs due to a bad installation of Win 7. If all hopes fails, there is always a reformat and fresh install.

right-click on computer > properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Start Up and recovery > Settings and untick Automatically Restart in the the System Failure section.

The mindump files themselves are in :

    C:\Windows\Minidump

You can also view the bugcheck error/s within Event Viewer under Custom views > Administrative Events
