I always have a problem of finding the original site of some company. Say for example what is the homepage of us movies box office? Or what site is the home page of a specific movie? I usually find this by going to yahoo.com and yahoo will usually post the homepage of a specific movie. That way I will get it. But yahoo will not list home page of all companies. How do you think can I get that. Or is there any homepages of companies directory?
I really cannot make anything you are asking, what is it? You're having a problem with finding original home site of some movie companies? Most portals will tend to host a certain movie trailers and at times will link to a page made just for the name of that movie, like msn.com will have it's own page for most of the movies they review and will sometimes not link to the original movie company. If you search for the movie title in the search engines they will generally be on the first page, if not go to Apple.com/Quicktime/Trailers. Apple tends to link to the movies they preview. Not sure if that's what you meant, regardless my post had increase by one point because of you
Not all companies have a website at all. Likewise i am not 100% sure what you are talking about so if you would be so kind as to explain some more please. Sounds like your interested in doing something automated? You want to collect url's without doing it individually? Other than that it is obviously easy to find the homepage of any website in existence for any company.
Let me try to elaborate. For eg I know only the name of some company and not the URL. Then what should I do to get the homepage of that company?? Say for eg. some product is hot and you want to see all about it for eg. acnefreein3days. You make a search for the keyword "acnefreein3days" and you get thousands of results. Now you can easily be confused as to which one the homepage is. Is it acnefreein3days.com acnefreein3days.info or acnefreein3days.org let alone thousands of other urls. I hope you get my point now. If you do not know the URL of some company then how do you come to know? Because there are thousands of similar URLs.
I guess you want to know about existance of any directory which lists Official homepages of various companies, corporations, organizations and movies in an organized way. But this is not 100% possible because of these reasons. 1. Not all businesses and companies have their websites. 2. If a new business (which has a website) opens how can that directory know about it? 3. There is no measure to distinguish between an official homepage and an unofficial homepages. 4. The official homepages themselves are sometimes not as much informative as some others writings about them
