GuitarLessons.com is linked to only around 20 (maybe 30 or somewhere in between) sites. Of course a backlink checker will say around 800 but most of those backlinks are repeats (many backlinks to a single site like a blog etc..) So is it possible to do the same with another TLD (A TLD with "GuitarLessons" and no other words)? What's special about the backlinks to GuitarLessons.com and does domain age influence high rankings? Of course this domain name is old but it's only ranked at the top (for "Guitar Lessons") in the last year or so. Some other info: GuitarLessons.com is linked to many drum sites (and a few piano). These are music related but not guitar related. Is being relevant to "Guitar" important in rankings or just music. Finally, can you link to any site without regards to relevance?
Backlink, is one ,but not the only factor. Some others may be.. Domain Age Relevancy Good Content Anchor Links N sometimes you can not see all its links so may be some high PR backlink site remains undisclosed..
Well said, additionally, sometimes one or some of the links are from very authoritative sites, and that makes the whole difference.
Getting a link from a music website is almost the same thing as guitar. I don't know what tool you've been using to check the backlinks for the website, but don't "trust" google. They only show a small amount of backlinks to your website. My website that has thousands of backlinks only have about 10 showing when performing a link:urlofthewebsite.com search. The backlinks to this website could be great. They may have a high PR, and/or be from educational sites.
Actually, they own a few of the major sites they link to. The are linked to DrumLessons.com and PianoLessons.com which I'm quite sure they own. I guess those are authoritarian sites. Could a site with a TLD besedes .com, .net or .org do the same SEO strategy? I didn't use the Goggle backlink check for GuitarLessons.com I used Backlinkwatch.com and SmartPageRank.com I'm quite sure the backlink report was accurate. Also I got GuitarLessons.Mobi which doesn't have the keywords "guitar lessons" as much on the page as GuitarLessons.com So I might try to increase the keyword density of "Guitar Lessons" and "Guitar" on the page. But right now it is in a sandbox since I strated the site around January the 1st and the domain was registered on Dec. 25 2009. So in a month or less maybe it will get in the top 1000 and then move up. Does keyword or keyphrase density make a major difference or should we count on "keyphrase" backlinks instead?
Yes, i am totally agree with the statement that all these can a play a vital role in the optimization process of the website over the main search engines. Like Google,Yahoo & Msn.com
When I checked the said side with my seo tool here Domain Age Checker It gave me September 10 1996 ie... It is a 13 Years old site , so pretty hard to beat it On linking to un-relevant link , it is really a matter of discussion , coz extremely High PR but un-relevant back links also pass juices but not to that extend that would have been after a linking from a niche and no-so-good and not-so-bad pr website.
I got to the front page (the top 5) for FindFastWork.com in two months on a domain. FindFastWork.com domain name is also around 2 months old. The keyphrase was "Jobs in My Area" which probably isn't as competitive as "Guitar Lessons" However, I do have "Guitar Lessons" keywords by themselves in GuitarLessons.Mobi so maybe that is a big advantage along with many new links (from authority sites) with the single term "Guitar Lessons" The question is "How long will it take to get to the front page?".
Backlinks from the homepage of sites counts for a lot. Backlinks from sites on the same c-class IP wont carry as much (do a c-class ip check on their sites). use yahoo site explorer for a more accurate list of backlinks into their site.
