After website what do i must have for jumping into affiliate marketing, 4 years ago i signup for shareasale and cj but get no offer from any advertiser? I was loser What sort of site i should have and for newbies which affiliate program is easy to start.
what kind of products you are selling now ? it depends on your site contents. if you making reviews for hosting some hosting affiliates works well
I'd like to point out that affiliate programs can be quite tricky; especially for newbies like myself. The deal is there are a lot of companies with products you can promote. The catch is that they are marketing their selves. So, they have restrictions in place so that you cannot use their keywords in a PPC campaign. (They don't want competition!) Or they don't allow certain types of marketing...if you don't have a lot of TARGETED traffic coming to your website already for that product, you're stuck! Affiliate programs could be profitable if you have TARGETED traffic on your site that you'd like to monetize. Especially, if you can find products that compliment your own! Please comment on this post...I'm always learning.
Yeah I agree. Even the best placement and advertiser doesn't always mean $$. Your traffic has to WANT to buy (or do) something. Knowing where and how your traffic gets to your site will help you determine the types of products will work. The best way to make money is to start a site of a topic you know more than the average person. Then work in your links because you will know what products to buy, websites to visit...ect and it will come naturally. Warm the reader up with your knowledge and boom...they want to buy. Know your traffic...why did they visit your site?
but why will they come to your site? Or maybe a better question is how? Do you PPC for a topic on your site and hope someone clicks on some affiliate links? You'd have to get traffic to it some way. So what I'm saying is that you have to find products on affiliate sites that relate you your topic...or go the other way...figure out what you want to sell and develop content on that. I wish affiliates would just supply the full html site, a copy of the best keywords to use for PPC and quit their own PPC campaigns so affiliates could use it. That would cut out their PPC budget! Oh, then they could PPC their affiliate program...
An easy market to start is weight loss. Try the link below plenty of products, guides and resources. If you work you can't fail.
choose a niche, snap some articles on a blog say. Then sign up with click bank or CJ, 1.) choose an affiliate programs, 2.) give up some free tips about that program and build your email list 3.) drive traffic to your lead capture page 4.) follow up with autroesponder 5.) get sales, 6.) rinse and repeat 1-5 above.
Instead of a single affiliate program you can try and join an affiliate network. Affiliate networks offer a list of programs from which you can choose. It would be easier to get approved for a program in an affiliate network and you will have a much larger pool of programs to choose from. You can find affiliate networks in various affiliate network directories, and you can search for such directories in google. In most directories there are reviews of the networks listed, so it should be easy for you to chose a network. Affiliate Scout is an example of such a directory. Hope this helps.
Your first bustop is to find a niche that is not too populated, second get a site and have it optimized, avoid promoting too many items on your page. Concentrate on building back links to your home page as well as building your own list. There are many cheap services that offers you this for a little fee. And i think its worth it if you find the right product.
