Australian Open 2010

For Tennis, new year start with the Australian Open and this year will showcase another level of rivalry between two greats,one is Roger Federer and the other one is Spaniard Rafael Nadal.As this year, hopeful of becoming No.1 again Nadal is fully fit and raring to go.

Federer will be looking forward to take revenge for the last year's final defeat which he got from the Nadal.Last years final also seen the two greats battling out each other in five set epic which lasted nearly 4 and half hours,it was the first trophy on hard court which Spaniard had won.

This year Federer is seeded No.1 in the rankings to win the Australian Open and Serena Williams for woman's singles.

mine prediction:
For men's winner : Roger Federer
For woman's winner : Kim Clijsters

 

For me it has to be Nadal and S Williams, they should prove too strong for the others.

 

Well it was open with first day big player upset as Maria Sharapova knocked out from Australian Open 2010. I will go with Roger Federer and Sarena Williams as a winner of 2010.

I cannot believe that Maria Sharapova has been knocked off

 

Good to see Roger won first round match after losing opening set! He looks good in last set which he won 6-0. I am sure he will improve his game before finals.

 

It was quite tough game for roger fed. but he can mannage in future. In Indian Camp Sanial out from firts round so now our hope is in doubles.

 

Tough one to pick a winner. I'm actually leaving in an hour to fly to Melbourne for the Aussie Open over the weekend! I'm dissapointed that all the glamours have been knocked out Sharapova/Dokic/Ivanovic.

Yes Roger looks strong in second round and after that performance we can say that he want to win Australian Open once again.

Well Roger Federer won 3rd round against Albert Montanes by 6-3,6-4,6-4 and enter in last 16. He looks very good and I think he is playing here for winning Australian Open once again.P

 

Just got back from Melbourne. I didn't get to see Fed but I don't think he will win. My pick is Tsonga... or maybe Murray to win his first GS.

 

Lol I don't think Tsonga might upset someone. He will not win it for surly. I think we would see same story this year again with one more Roger Vs Rafel final.

i will put money on the men's final NOT being Nadal vs. Fed.

 

I can't put it. Murray is also big threat for me in this year and I think he might surprise me, although I still stick with Rafa Vs Roger final.
