Hi guys, I just started up my site humorous.tv and I have gotten good traffic so far about 40 uniques a day, but I need to start ranking in google to get more direct traffic. So what can I do to make my site rank better, for the keywords; humorus videos, funny videos, and humorous stuff. Please help me out! Thanks, Zach!
A glanced at your site - a few recommendations: 1. I know it's a video site, but you need to add a lot more text. Remember, even though your content is great, google can't scan the contents of a video. On the homepage and on the individual video pages, add a detailed description of each video. 2. Encourage comment posting. Again, this can really give google some "content" to scan. 3. Try some h1 headers. Old fashioned? Yes. But they really do help. Good luck with the site!!
Awesome, thanks! I tried adding descriptions to each video, more just keywords. Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to add the h1 headers? Also, any tips on how to get more commentators? Thanks!
SE only recognize text.. so more the better. if u got pics put keywords for alttext decriptions. keywords in title of browser... just lot more keywords in text thru out the page.. cheers
