hi all, newbie here, have just put up my first website.. and trying to get my head around internet directories... I signed up for an internet directory submission program, there middle of December, 600 high PR I was told... to date I don't see any of these links appearing in my google webmaster link count? Am I missing something here??? appreciate some help here......
Google updates backlinks periodically.... be patient - until next PR update you will also have backlinks - meanwhile search for your listings by searching www. yourdomainame.com
Google also does not like to reveal all or even many of the backlinks they have for a site so don;t expect to see them (if they exist) there anytime soon. Try yahoo and check inlinks there or even backlinkwatch.com. If they don;t show there than give it a few more weeks and check again. Good luck.
Dont every go for those guys. You can do these things yourself, if you spent some time to learn and then find out some good directories. And yes, be patient. PR updates wont happen always. Google takes their own time. By the way you are welcome to submit your site to us: www.divewebb.com.
Google is slow to show backlinks ...Try Yahoo Site Explorer...and as far using those services go, some are good, most are crap. You'd be better off doing the job yourself
Don't go that type of submissions tools, submit your site manual to directories. Once Google find this your site will become spam. So I suggest you to do manual directory submissions... http://pravalikadesigns.com/free-directories-list.html I found a great high PR web directory sites list here, submit your site to this list and get fast approval... and webmaster links.. when google crawl your link in directories then they show links in webmaster account.. don't bother that submit manually..
It can take up to 2 months for your site to be reviewed by human edited directories. Also, make sure that you are using a reputable (ethical) directory submission company that follows the directories' submission guidelines.
My suggestion is to think long term. - Don't always look for the highest PR, build your link age while the directory builds link age. - Accept that it may take longer to get good link juice from these links, but if you're patient with it, once it kicks in, you'll get stronger link juice as the link is older - Don't get frustrated - if you're playing the right game, over the long run it will work
