Anyone heard this? what is this about?

From what I understand is that if you put creativecommons.org button on your site, you can copy/paste other content on your site freely? thx

Creative commons has many license types. Wether if they can copy the content freely it's up to you, depending on the license you choose.

You can make your content available freely to other people. But butting CC on your site does not allow you to republish other people's content unless they've granted a similar license (figured I'd cover both sides since you post didn't make it clear if you're the original author or talking about putting other people's content on your site).

    Thanks for the answer,

Few months ago my hosting account was suspended due to copyright infringement. I forgot to put credit link on post image i found on google. The owner of the picture sent letter to my hosting company, not me, without any notice, and they suspended me. Now i wanna be more careful.

And No, im not the author. I wanna use other people's /picture content. Is that okay as long as I put the link credit? thx

Even if you put a credit link, it's illegal to use someone else's images unless they've granted you permission or its license allows you to reuse it. A credit link does not replace permission.
