I had on my site adsense ads, on every page (above fold) just one Large Rectangle and 728x15 link unit on top of the page, where navigation is supposed to be But I have also been using valueclickmedia cpm ads to earn more from that site and I have put 3 banners on every page, I was earning ~$0.5 per day and I thought well it's better to earn additional $0.5 per day than just ~$3 from adsense. I thought wrong One week ago I removed those cpm ads because I tried to find cpm network that pays better and the site has been without those ads for a week now and earnings in this week were never below $7.
So your point was that your earnings doubled after you removed the CPM ads from ValueClick? Interesting but no useful lesson here for the rest of us. Unless of course, by removing those CPM ads your visitors are clicking on the AdSense ads instead.
I don't think it is no useful because probably many noobs like me will put lots of cpm banners on their sites to earn more but I guess those banners scare visitors away so they leave site quickly and don't click on adsense ads
thats how it work the more the competitors ads the less the money ,the less the ads the more the money,if you only display one ads per page you'll get more money.this is how it work
@010081: that only applies when the ads are all from the *one* provider, ie. AdSense for example. Having ads from other networks shown does not bring down the CPC or CPM of ads from different networks.
@pozer: true that. CTR for the individual ads would go down because the visitor has too many choices to click on.
I think it's because your visitors got first attention on your CPM ads and looked no more on adsense ads. Now you have only adsense so maybe this is the reason your visitors clicking more on adsense. First impression is the last impression
that's pretty interesting. so if have three adsense ad units on my page and remove one, i should then make more money per click?
