$100 Image / Banner Contest For Church Website - 72 Hour!

Hi All,

I am building / re-designing a local church website using a flash-based CMS and need an image designed for the front page.

The church is called "World Life Christian Center" in Pasco, WA.

The web address I am developing at is:

You will be creating an image to cover the entire black area on the main page. The image size is to be: 928x542.

The image you create should contain the following two elements:

1) Photo of Pastors Joey and Merideth Zamora:

either...

(whichever one you can make work better. Feel free to manipulate the photos as you see fit).


2) The phrase: "We Are Better Together..." Ecclesiastes 4:9 or Eccl. 4:9


Optional elements you can add/use.

Existing logo...I thought the existing logo (or just the world) could watermark the image you create...just a thought. You guys are the designers!

How the contest will work

I will take submissions until Saturday evening (Jan. 20th, 2010) and will make my selection within 24 hours afterward. Winner will be announced on this post and contacted via PM. I will send payment ($100) via Paypal as soon as final deliverables are received.

Winner must provide all rights of the logo to the church and include the following formats:

Full Color Web (gif / jpeg)
Black / White
Grey Scale
PSD Source Code.



Other Info

Feel free to submit as many entries as you like.

Please provide submissions according to the dimensions I mentioned above (928x542) so that I can see how they look on the site.

Ask any questions as they come up.

Hey Guys (and Gals),

Thanks for the submissions so far. We're still not quite there yet, though. killuahxh and EternalLight have submitted the best so far.

A couple of comments.

We do want the pastors showcased but not to be the main focal point. Think about adding some additional images or graphics.

Check out the examples I gave you.

Make sure you are paying attention to the color scheme of the site.

Hey Everyone, thanks for your entries so far. Please keep them coming. I will do some critiqueing now and tonight.

biruhato, I do like this one but I feel like the Pastor's photos take up to much of the frame. They asked to be part of the front page image but I don't think they want to be the main thing in the frame.

Also, anyone want to try adding the names? Pastors Joey and Meredith Zamora.

 

EternalLight, I like this design a lot but I would request smaller pic of pastors and make sure the color scheme works with the site. I'm not feeling the red.

 

killuahxh, not bad...I like how you split up the image. I feel you could make the pastors less prominent and then do more with it.

 

Conceptually, I like your idea but I'm not feeling the old stone church and grass. Here is an idea (for anyone to use) of a picture that really represents our city.
