    Hi there folks,

    I have a website with 5000+ pageviews a week.
Now I want to contact companies to put their ad on my website.
Which fixed price can i ask pro month?

    $5?
    $30?
    $100?
    or maybe $1000?

....just kidding about the last one! ;)

Can some one help me out?

    Cheers

    Cees

PS: Hope this is the right topic, couldnt find another place.....

You need to consider somethings also...

1- how many ad spaces are available
2- how BIG are the ads
3- where are the ads located.

Generally, big ads, with few spaces located on the top of pages will be the best sellers (and cost the most, because more people will see them). If you just do a bunch of tiny ads, the companies will feel like they are fighting for attention, and won't pay as much.

Somebody once told me - figure out how much you'd make with adsense, then double it when you're selling ad space.

    Interesting way of thinking.

Anyway, price selection is the funniest part of your online adventure. Enjoy it.

If it’s the first time you've put ads on your site then maybe around the $100 to $150 / month is a good place to start. 20,000 pageviews a month is pretty decent, if you find advertisers that really would benefit from the relevancy of you site then you might be able to charge more.

5000page view is not a big achievement.
The most important thing is the unique visitor to your site.
Most you can get is $10/month

    thanx for the help!

maybe i can be a bit more selective if i tell you that i have 10k unique visitors per month.

will that affect my pricing in a better way?

    thanx
