Can anyone submit some URLs that are indexed in Google but not Bing? It may help to see these sites so we can all understand what Bing does and doesn't like.

There were no reason given why Bing favors Flash sites when Google can´t stand them.

Well, there is a big difference between Google and Microsoft. Google likes organic stuff. They want good websites to recommend other good websites (the reason for backlinks). It bases its search on keywords. When a website is recommended by using one keyword throughout 100 other websites, it becomes a good website in Google's eyes because it is recommended by the people.

In Microsoft's eyes (and this is just a hypothesis of mine), a good website is one that is functional and has good design. Remember Bing's slogan. It is the "decision engine", which leads me to believe that they are looking less for massive amounts of content and keywords (which will only lead to highly discussed and updated blogs) and aiming more for websites that have a lot of features and functions. It only makes sense that it would hold flash websites that have proper menus and buttons over content-stuffed blogs that only express someone's opinion in their SERPs. And for the direction they're trying to take, it makes a whole lot of sense.

Nice info, I've actually found Bing indexing my sites way before google. I look forward to the time when bing takes over yahoo search and there's enough market share there to actually see some action.

Thanks. I'm just trying to make sure nobody is caught off guard if and when they do start taking traffic away from Google.

Do we wanna add that as it may wind up being the default search engine on a fruity computer maker in the not-too-distant future (WTF!), you might really want to start getting a handle on bing ... (who'd 'a thunk it?? - oh please let those rumors be untrue!!)

I believe Bing will index your site if your site is about Science, like health related.

Entertainment niche is big no no no in Bing.

yes, I have 2 celebrity sites and 1 art related site. Each of them has more than 500 post articles and urls.

It appears that google indexing all my sites about 400-700 urls for each. While bing, it only show up 3-6 urls for each.

On the other hand, my health blog, get indexed like 80 urls on bing, and 110 on google.

I did submit all site on both search engine.

Also, FYI that most colleges comp library in USA, by default, they are using MSN/BING toolbar for search engine. I know in my college does.

Maybe they're selectively indexing sites according to the kind of links they'll have - "arts" not well, "science" well. ... Interesting food for thought, and subject to investigate further. Anyone else have a similar experience with their own sites?
