If someone brings something good he can leave FB behind I can do tht Just i need someone who can make what is in my mind seriously
Just my 2 Cents =) I feel that once everyone starts to realize that FaceBook has been overrun with Internet Marketers and businesses, each with 10's or even 100's of profiles to spam and market their wares, they will tire of FaceBook and it's overall blandness. How many profiles does Best-Buy or Sears and Wal-Mart need???? I see about 200 each, one for each country of the World, and when you add up all those businesses and DigitalPoint people, that's probably 10,000,000 Facebook profiles alone. Geez - It's like MySpace all over again. I'm already done with FaceBook - I'm using MySpace and MyYearBook as a Social Network(s) for communicating with people, because It's easier to find people and interact with them, but that's just a personal preference. I run a few sites that are for MySpace Members as well. The MySpace sites that I run have not seen a drop in users, actually, new user growth is up. To answer the OPs question I would say: There are several sites that could, with a miracle, dethrone FaceBook this year, but I think FaceBook and all it's spammers will remain in the #1 spot for another year =) Just my 2 Cents =)
I think Facebook is here to stay for awhile, however some of the other posters are correct, there is always something new and shiny that catches peoples eyes and they go running to like a flock of sheep. It's just the nature of the instant always-on internet these days.
Yes, I firmly believe that Face is one of strongest Website in 2010 and it will in 2011 also because Features availability on Face book, it's user friendly and people will never leave this type of Website.
Facebook will just keep growing. Zuckerberg is still only 25 and it looks like he has no intention of selling!
Seems to keep its position, however it was much better, they changed things in the last year which wasn't a good idea I think. So many users will leave if another good system shows up.
i hope facebook will still be on top as my apps would be useless anymore if they'll not be. but sure especially if they will maintain being open to the developers.
Well, I do not see any new social networking sites on the rise so Facebook will still dominate the top. Twitter is way different than facebook so you really cannot compare the 2.
Twitter is great because it's so simple. Simplicity will always win in the long run. I don't use it myself, but they should add the ability to add pictures to Twitter (maybe they already did, but I don't think so). But nothing else. The more complicated, the worse.
As long as people live on the internet, FB will grow. However, profitability, real not paper, will elude them for a while. In addition, the lacking of a professional CEO will hinder long-term business growth, and until they create a viable, long-term, business model it will be a hard road ahead. After all, who cares if they are the #1 site in syria? how do you monetize that.
Actually, if you pay attention to industry news you would know that FB has been profitable for some time now Please don't make me waste time pulling links, I am busy. But you can trust what I say Take care everyone.
