Google usually uses your meta description as the description. When there is no meta description it tries to find something relevant on the page.
You mean Google. And yes, this guy is correct - the SE uses the meta description or information from the ODP. Specify a meta description and make the Google Bot crawl your page again!
tnx guys for quick answer what i used for SEO is this plugin: http://www.netconcepts.com/seo-title-tag-plugin/ which is great btw but i thought that it covers all SEO stuff ... now i need to fix that , maybe addind another plugin for meta description I will use this plugin for this one: http://www.g-loaded.eu/2006/01/05/add-meta-tags-wordpress-plugin/
Just use All-in-One SEO Pack plugin... It will handle everything including your title. You need to understand how Google chooses search result snippets before you begin optimizing your meta descriptions.
@Canonical tnx for great links, site is awsome and I try to read as much as I can I know there is this All-in-One SEO Pack & I use it on some of my websites but i prefered this: SEO Title Tag, it is really simple and it works great, it works like i would like to ,.... anyway i add to it Add-Meta-Tags WordPress Plugin and I think i am home with WP SEO support...
after adding this plugin: http://www.g-loaded.eu/2006/01/05/add-meta-tags-wordpress-plugin/ my site in google is still the same: Windows 7 Themes, Styles, Skins, Wallpapers, Gadgets, Icons ... - [ Tłumaczenie strony ] Windows7Design.com All rights reserved. 2010. No no pls add the description in the meta tags and dont make it lengthy makle sure the first few characters will tell what you want to say as well as the key words
Google will show your description based on the keywords that are searched. It doesn't always show the description you have on your site, rather it will match the best words on your site with the searched keyword.
Yes, but i've already try with it on other sites and really i don't like the way it works.. i don't remember details but i prefered this plugins: http://www.netconcepts.com/seo-title-tag-plugin/ and for meta tags: http://www.g-loaded.eu/2006/01/05/add-meta-tags-wordpress-plugin/ but my meta tags is still bad in google, maybe this meta tags are not working as they should if nothing happaned in sometime or i don't find solution here i will go with All in One SEO plugin as you said
This Meta plugin is working: this is from my homepage source file: <!-- META Tags added by Add-Meta-Tags WordPress plugin. Get it at: http://www.g-loaded.eu/ --> <meta name="description" content="Free Windows 7 Themes, Styles, Skins, Wallpapers, Gadgets, Icons.. Download for Win 7 Seven" /> <meta name="keywords" content="Windows 7, Win 7, Seven, Design, Themes, Styles, Skins, Wallpapers, Gadgets, Icons" /> So it is working fine i think. no need to change all to all seo plugin
