Hey I was just reading a post . It's entitled Why is Google Still The Number One Search Engine. It is a real sad story of how Google helped to push a small ecommerce site out of business

    You can see it here

    What do you think?

I wouldn't want to go head to head with Google lawyers in court. Its sounds like the business owner had too many eggs in one basket.

I agree that he had to many eggs in one basket but he also isn't am SEO he is just some small time schmuck trying to make a couple of dollars to survive.

What really bothered me about the story was the fact that it seemed like Google wasn't even listening to what he had to say, they were just ignoring him.

Oh yeah and I WOULD want to go head to head with Google in court. You win either way, can you see the publicity from this ;)

Actually it's not about being perfect, it is really just about caring. Google does not care about anyone but themselves. It is very sad what they done to this man.

I any court of law, if you show proof that you are innocent then they will find you innocent but Google wouldn't even let this man show proof they just ignored everything he said and kept the ban in force. I totally agree with the author of the post, I cannot wait to see the day that Google falls. They have made me very angry toward some of the practices that they use.

I think it sounds more like a someone got caught rorting the system and then tried to act all innocent and blame Google for his own incompetence.

I new when he replied to the "auto-generated email" from Google it was going to be entertaining.

I mean his letters are so full of self contradictions and lies its not funny.

After he had sworn in his second post that he was a alone in his venture, to then admit he was part of a network in his third letter made me laugh so hard I nearly choked on a biscuit.

After he had already said in the third letter he was losing 3k a month because of "their stuff up". He then went on to say in the last letter, he had lost 25k in the last three months :eek:
made me laugh coffee out my nose and all over my keyboard (thanks).
Doesn't he know that Google have a calculator :)

Oh well, he should be happy he got away with it for the amount of time he did.

    Cheers

Do you really know the meaning of "venture" and "network"?
"..Our website is part of a network, but that is as far as it goes. They do
not supply our products, we do..."

Who know? Maybe in the next month, he have some kind of aborted deal or his employee's additional fee or something else.. Maybe he have a double loss in each month.. There are many reason of this..

I don't care if your opinion is true or not..
I don't care if this story is true or not..

But dude, you laugh at people's misery..
    :(:(:(:(

No I didn't, I laughed at his feable excuses his self contridictions and his obvious lies.
I also laughed at his demands for reimbursement and his threats to take them down by showing photos and invoices (shouldn't they be receipts?) as proof.

Not once did I laugh at his misery. But, I do doubt it.

    Cheers

I talked to the author of the website last night and asked him the same question that you were talking about tattoo and he said that the guys website was completely original as far as products go, it was part of a network of websites that give you that easy website builder crap like godaddy website tonight but the products were all his own.

@tattoo invoices are better than receipts. I can print out a phony receipt right now but an invoice has a specific number on it from the distributor that sold him the products.

Also what you said was pretty insensitive, you would feel a whole lot worse if the shoe was on the other foot and this happened to you. WOW there are some insensitive people out there I can see why the world is the way it is today.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but to be honest, you asked "What do you think?" If you only wanted people to respond that had the same opinion as you, then you should have said so.
I was just sharing my opinion on what was presented to me in an article.
In my opinion, what he said did not add up. I just called as I seen it.
If you think that is being insensitive, then I apologize for not sugar coating it for you.

    Cheers

I can't tell if the man is against Google Policy or not but I agree with the article author the Google main problem is their customer support. They don't have phone number to call.

I don't know of many free services that have customer service. I'm frankly surprised he even got a human response. Maybe Google's a little too smart and dominant for their own good, but they obviously have the resources to determine if the user was at fault or not. As was already stated above, it sounded like he was gaming the system and got caught. Happens every day in this world. It is unfortunate if he had to let employees go, if any even existed. But that is a risk you take with any business.

Goes to prove that unique content is the way to go, period.
If he would just change up the descriptions to not match the standard
canned descriptions I don't think he would have a problem.

...If you think that's bad, you should try dealing with the government -- the customs and immigration officials in particular!

Anyhow, I feel pretty bad for the guy, but suing Google is most decidedly NOT the way to go. If he goes down that route, he's going to lose his source of revenue forever, will owe hefty legal fees, and will most likely lose his case and get nothing for his efforts. If I were him, I'd just keep trying to speak with an actual human being at Google -- even if it means waltzing into one of their offices. Sooner or later, he'll be reinstated... and if not, then it would seem as though he really did break the rules in some way or another. Google wouldn't ban him entirely out of spite.

    Just my $0.02...

Edit: I'm assuming that he's telling the truth. There's a pretty good chance that that is not the case.
