    Hello Guys,

We have an ecommerce website and once the website was finished, we added google sitemap ourselves. At that time, the number of Google indexed pages had reached over 3000. Later, the company handed this website to another company to do SEO. They changed the sitemap, adjusted the meta keywords, website inner structure. All seemed to be good. However, we found recently that the number of google indexed pages has been decreasing to only 509. I believe this will affect our traffic rank. Do you have any suggestion please? The website is www.trustedeal.com. Thanks a lot!

Has your traffic and conversions decreased?

If traffic did NOT decrease then Google likely deindexed pages that did not rank well and no one ever clicked on anyway.

If traffic decreased then changing the structure of your site could definitely have affected crawlability and the number of pages indexed.

The number of pages indexed for a site rise and fall.

Thank you Canonical. Our traffic did not decrease. So maybe we have to optimize those pages deindexed by Google. Hope this will work. :) Thanks a lot.

If you changed your links google will have to re-index your pages

I think you must improve your off page optimization or assign this work to some professional SEO company who may help you better in this task.

Try to check if the new sitemap that has been created is same with the number of pages in the site.

Does google do it automatically or you must "insert" your page again?
