We are startups, and currently in the development of a new shopping cart. Most necessary features are ready, and now we want feedbacks from you to improve our product. Thanks for your suggestions and feedback.

Well as a buying customer, I want to make sure that your ecommerce has a security certification for ecommerce and it is PCI DSS Compliance.

A new version of our new shopping cart has released. Would you like to help us test it and give us some suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I suppose it depends what you're selling, you want to take into consideration:

    1) How many products you wish to sell. Is it easier to add simple buy it now buttons with paypal, or do you need an extensive catalogue of items

    2) How many payment methods will you need to accept? Some carts offer payment plugins for multiple processors

    3) Will you be wanting to host it yourself? It may be worth going on a site that offers a store if you're not too well accustomed to runnig your own website.

Most of the heavy duty carts such as zencart, OS commerce, cubecart, magento, etc etc, will offer a list of features that they offer. It's worth taking a look at these sites and then seeing if they meet your requirements for what you sell. If you're just merchandising, it may be worth looking into cafepress or something like that, which will actually print your site logo/ brand logo onto mugs, tshirts etc etc.

There are some option out there but it all depends upon your needs and sometimes an easy to use and affordable plug and play solution that you dont have to spend to much time learning how to use is the best.

Is it true that from July 1, 2010 the merchants and agents must use the payment applications that support PCI DSS compliance? So the PCI Compliance support is very important for a shopping cart?

The most irritating thing for me, as an ecommerce store owner, is wanting to customize my site and being restricted by my shopping cart.

Is it nice if the theme and modules can be installed or uninstalled in the admin panel? Then the changes can be seen easily.
