Blank page after installing wordpress

Discussion in 'WordPress' started by Codythebest, Jan 19, 2010.

I have installed wordpress on several of my sites already. Never a problem. It was in a folder, called "blog" though.
This time I installed it in the root of a site and it shows a blank page. I can't access anything.
domain.com/wp-admin/install.php says it is installed already.
I double check config.php, no problem.

Any thought about how to fix this?

Do you receive a white screen? might be some error in functions.php file of the theme you are using.

    Can you login to wp-admin?
If so I would suggest a) changing the theme or b) checking to make sure the blog path matches what you have listed under options off the top of my head. Few other things could cause it as well but those are the first that come to mind.

Yes, white screen. The functions.php is exactly the same than my other blog. No change. Other blog works well, this one not.

    No, I can't access wp-admin: white page

The strange thing is, doing that for my new domain, the login page is from my other blog. Example: I try newdomain.com/wp-login.php, click enter, and have olddomain.com/wp-login.php !!??!!!

    The domian is parentdis.com
so try http://www.parentdis.com/wp-login.php and it is my paranormal blog login page !!

    No, I can't access wp-admin: white page
    (at duplicate post, duplicate answer)

It should be a config.php error, you might have used the db options like

    - same database name and same db prefix or

try using a different db prefix or create a new database

change the database prefix wp_ to a new name so it can create new table for your wp in database

I am now experiencing the same thing. I upgraded my WordPress and changed theme and it's all "WHITE".

    http://www.bogartkick.com/wp-login.php

Now I can't login to my WP admin panel but I can login to my cPanel. I don't know what kind of DATABASE are you guys talking about? And how to delete and create again using my cPanel? I still don't understand and I'm very confused.

    Please help me too.:(
