Hello Everyone, I have a friend who wants to create a search engine like google... I know...its impossible...but you never know right... He has already hired 2 people to work on this for him and he asked me to find some help... I know this is the place that can help me... Here is what I need to know...and if you help me there will, most likely, be some reward in it for you. 1. I have no idea how to create search engine or how to create a program like the spiders that index sites...Im sure that creating those take a lot of work by engineering geniuses, so just correct me if im wrong... 2. I know how to Optimize sites and I can create a network of sites that can gather hundreds of thousands of visitors a day... Optimize the sites and link them all to the search engine... I can also create a large list of people who I can advetise the search engine too.. 3. I can offer them information on how to start and advertise the search engine when it is up and teach my friend how to advertise give him a few ideas about getting more searches done...and so forth... Now, here is where I need help... Please let me know what you think about all of this...If you can help me with any of these topics then please let me know... Did you lease 1,000,000,000,000 of square feet for the buildings for the severs yet. Did you get the servers ordered? Just my questions first , because if you have the locations and servers in place, I might be able to help.... BTW.....Welcome to the forum!
LOL, true that. I'm not sure why you would want to do this? There's scripts out there that you can purchase that would be much cheaper to purchase and try out rather than going all out, hiring people and dealing with a Data Warehouse in your backyard
