I agree on you but there are only less directories that will approve your site quickly. Most of them will take to 1-2 or even 3 months before thay approve your site.

 

1.comment on do follow blog with your niche
2.submit your blog to blog directory/free submision web
3.submit your blog to rss submision
4.submit your blog to Social bookmarking
5.try to put your blog on signature forum and try find and join the forum with your niche.
6.link exchange with the other blog with your niche
7.linkback every post to wiki
8.update your blog with post regularly.
9. be patient
