Who really has or is switching from YPN back to Adsense ?

I just checked my balance for the day, it's now almost 3:30 PM here, and I have made slightly over $1.00 for 5 websites, using ypn....... that is the total earnings from 5 sites..... How much worse or lower is ypn going to go ?

Schools are starting back some places, here it's Sep 5, I wonder if it's going to rebound in Sep....

I can't see making this low with Adsense because there ads are much more targeted, but I kinda hate switching back, since I was doing great with YPN until August hit.........

What would you all do ? wait until Sep 5 or later ? or say the heck with YPN, suffering with $5.00 days most of the month is not worth staying in it anymore ?

i would use phpadnews or something and change the ratio of traffic to the more profitable publisher account, while monitoring the other account with a little traffic to see if it picks up again. that is assuming you would be making more with adsense.

Wait until sept to see if YPN will rebound on your sites. It's like a rollercoaster.

Use some ad rotator, show YPN for US and adsense for others countries. That way you can get the both.

I was beginning to wonder. Here is and example:

One of my site - a wine related site - was averaging $30/month with Adsense. I put YPN on it and made $20 total for the past 3 months. I've switched 90% of my sites back to Adsense and tripled my earnings because I get 10x more clicks with Adsense.

This just shows how horrible ad targetting is with YPN.

Smartest is to use a mix of both so you have two incomes.

I wish I had a dollar for every post you have made about switching back to adsense. The decision seems pretty simple - try putting adsense back and then see which pays more. There are a lot more sectors where adsense is now paying more. August traffic is slower, but don't expect to see the pay per click increase in September. Adsense payouts haven't dropped in August - Yahoo has just lost advertisers willing to run ads in the content program, added more publishers, and may be taking a higher percentage. A lot of the higher paying advertisers have switched to only running their ads on Yahoo search so those ads don't even show for YPN publishers.
