Do not register domains at hosting services sites.

    www.OrderDN.com has cheaper prices :D

    Good luck

I think Namecheap is one of the best. If you want your whois info blocked, go with Namecheap or Google. You'll be paying a lot of money to make that info private with Godaddy..

    Expensive? Are you sure?
    I don't this so....
At www.OrderDN.com .com domain registration is $8.99 and most of the other doomain registrars new registration price for .com is more than $9.

The only way to find prices under $9 is by using coupons or promtional prices.

OrderDN.com offers also free services and one month free hosting for each domain registered ;)

So do you think it is still expensive?

    Thank you

I don't like GoDaddy because they are very big company and have bad customer service. To be precise, many problems easier to solve with customer service of small company that values its customers.

Not sure if this thread is still relevant, but currently I would recommend GoDaddy. They frequently offer coupons (you can search for it) that significantly lower their regular prices for new domain registration and renewals.

Cheapest isn't always better unless you are buying with a coupon from one of the big registrars. I never trust new registrars or small ones, just have heard horror stories.

Moniker and NameCheap are my favorites in that order, easy to use control panels to manage your domains is a plus. I use GoDaddy here and there as well.

I registered a few domains for 2.95 with Register.com with the Reg250tj coupon code (only valid for new customers). I don't intend on staying with them after the domains expire though because they normally cost $35/year. Will probably transfer the domains to GoDaddy when the expiry date is nearly up.

Nothing is wrong with Godaddy. I am using one of their resellers ( http://www.rteldomains.com/) for the last 5-6 years because they have better prices especially for renewals
and I have never had any serious issues. Well maybe the email support is a bit slow (usually 2-3 hours for response) but the phone support is excellent even from Europe.

    Like namecheap - nice UI.

Slighly cheaper is internetBS - like default notification about login.

    GoDaddy - works as well.

    ***

Overally: namecheap - sometimes they even give some vouchers for free!

Not the cheapest, but I moved everything to namecheap after some soul-searching a couple years ago.
