Using adsense as a signature

Is using adsense as a signature in forums allowed. I saw a guy doing that in a different forum. Instead of putting a web site as signature, he put adsense.

I wouldn't have thought so, if everybody started to do it there would be about 30 ads per page which would be against Google TOS.

Hello, I think it is legal by AdSense's TOS (having several AdSense Publisher ID one page is authorized with permission of Google, ask them if you want to do it) but they also say no more than 3 ad blocks in one page.
I know they block anymore than that, but do they mean a webmaster should not put 10 times the code, even if only 3 are displayed? Or do they mean that webmasters should not use any tricks such as iframes in order to display more than 3?

In any case, it's a good idea, but the forum owner would at least use one ad block, so leaving only two more adsense blocks for users.

if you keep the ads only on your site then you would have better control over them, say if you get banned for click frauds then how you going to prove anything, you don't have any site traffic details.
Anyway as long as its your ads its your responsibility.

What people are missing is that no forum is going to allow you to put javascript in your signature (unless they are crazy).

The closest you are going to come to what you want to do is if the Admin has adsense in everyones signature and you get a piece of it (rev share)

I have seen Adsense in one of the newsleters I got from a site on my Gmail account. Last I checked with Google about Adsense in email, they said it is against TOS.
