Text Link Ads - any good?

Hello,

I was just accepted into Text Link Ads as a publisher, although nobody has 'bought' any ad spots yet :\?

Anyone used it before? How long did it take to get ads showing?

that site has been banned from google and google is shutting down sites with their script ;\

 

Really, are you sure? I know Google banned them a long time ago, but I thought that the business was still going strong and they had work arounds that Google was not detecting.

 

Ya they are banned, but I'm not so sure about Google penalizing sites with there script. It hasn't happened to me yet.

 

Are you making any money from them if you can share, just curious?

 

I don't mind sharing. I have a PR3 health blog with roughly 250 pages indexed in Google. This gets me a payment of about $5.00 a month with an assortment of links that they place on my site automatically (only like 3 or 4 I think). Payment is made automatically via paypal every month.

Honestly I set it up a while ago, and I've just been too lazy to take it down. You make a lot more money selling links here on DP.

 

An year before i used to get ad spots sold by them. But these days nothing .... and no replies to the email sent too....

So beware..

 

What do you mean by google banned them !! i can still see the site present at google http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:Text-Link-Ads.com , and about google shutting down sites with their script i dont think so because it is impossible for google to detect the script it's a plugin works on php side server not a html code ! .

 

Search for the site, there is nothing in organic or PPC results.

 

i dont see the site in the organic results maybe google penalized them but its not the case for sponsored results try : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Text+Link+Ads+com&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

 

My mistake, I see them now.

Yeah, I think Google removed them from the index a while back, but apparently put them back in. I think that was enough to cool off most enthusiasm for Text Link's product. I'm kind of assuming that Google also developed a way to find and ignore most paid links, because I don't hear much about it. I used Text Link's product before the mess with Google and actually made over a grand on my tiny blog in a year. It was nice money and was much larger than my AdSense returns.

That said, factors such as your Page Rank and your sites niche will influence how much anyone pays for links, no matter what the method is to buy those links. If you've got a low ranked site on kittens you won't make as much as a high ranked site about investing.

Yep it does work, but how good it works depends on how good your site is.
