Hi, I registered www.HowtosayinRussian.com as a promotional site to my online translation site. Wanting to know about long tail keywords. Should I target "How to say hello in Russian" or would that be covered along with some other popular search queries if I just targetted "how to say in Russian". Any ideas on how difficult it would be to get to 1st page? Small traffic but they all add up))
Do a page for each targeting each. The same for each other phrase. Use internal and external links in the same manner, changing things to slightly different keyword sentences construction when ever you can. (well not always if you want to target a particular search term that is performing well - in most cases) A page optimised (optimized) for "How to say Hello in Russian" will perform for that and a page targeting "how to say in Russian" will perform for that.
The only way to estimate how difficult it will be to rank is to search the keyword in quotes in Google (not the only way, but the fastest). The less competition, the better. Personally, I go for less than 10,000 results, but that's because I want to rank very quickly.
Another words we can say that If you have a web page about "cats" and if you link that another page for "cars" SERP analyze this "cats using cars" which is not logical and not good =)) Good luck SE
So in essence, he should create as many pages as possible that target the keywords "how"+"say"+"russian" on each page?
