Contest Logo for article dir plus banner and button $40

I need a logo for an article directory - www.articlesfox.com. I also need a 468x60 banner and a 125*125 button including that logo and the tag line displayed prominently "submit your articles" <- only for the two "banners" not the actual logo itself (also don't include the .com in the logo).

So for the logo I do want the "fox" theme incorporated in there somehow and it should have the orange of that RSS feed button. I.e. make a fox shape, put ears or a tail in there who knows I welcome all suggestions!

best try so far for including the banner and button. I like the idea with the outline of the head but it looks a bit too spacy atm. If you could add more depth/3d to the head and make it look a little more friendly that would be cool (more firefox-ish maybe ^^).

This one is also nice I like how you incorporated the tail. No banner or button though.

Good try but the head could maybe be a little more abstract and the logo needs to be arranged in a way that it actually reads articles fox (<- in that order). No banner or button

The fox head looks a lot better. Maybe it could fit a little neater in between the letters and that mouth could be slightly more symetrical.


Leo Viscus Astrum:

This is a good idea with both head and tail but makes the logo look a little loaded. Mabye a focus on either head or tail would be good. Also the colour is off.

It will be open until the end of Monday although I reserve to extend the deadline if no suitable submissions were made but so far it looks promising.

I've revised the fox and made it a new mouth, also moved together the F and X to make it fit a little better.



Added the preview at the bottom of the image.

The fox looks pretty much ready for prime time now. Is there any way to make the fox head seem less couched in between the f and the x?

this one looks nice. Is there any way you could make that look a little more web 2.0-ish. At the moment for some reason it has the look of a movie font somehow.

Btw everyone who participates can leave that tagline out in the logos (Providing, good, free blah!).

I've moved the head around a bit between the F and X - also added a shadow on the second one and tried something new with the last one.

I've removed the banner and button on this preview, as they would be same as previous but with this logo instead of the old one, didn't see a need to repeat it. (and also removed the slogan like you asked)

This seems almost finished now. If you can think of anything to make this look better by all means give it a go otherwise this could be the final draft.

Good idea like Mas below you to play around with the A. The fonts and the colours look good. Maybe you can have another go at combining the A and the fox theme better.

Mas:

Same as above the idea of the A + Fox was better executed though I think. Not sure if the rest of the logo with another two colours fits well. You'd be better of keeping the "Fox" part in the same colour and not making the gradient at the top so light I think. I think you could make the fox a bit more prominent on the A. Good example is Firefox. Not sure if that tail part should morph into what could look like the foxes body but that would be worth a thought. As for the tag line don't bother with it.

Since I got some good last minute submissions I will extend the deadline of this competition by 48 hours. Great work so far @ everyone!
