2. Content postings on Web properties 2.0 sites
3. Blog Commenting
4. Social Bookmarks

5. Wikis

3. Social Bookmarking (digg , ezdia , delicious , mixx )
4. Article submissions
5. Social Networking (facebook , twitter , eZdia , linkedin , orkut)

 

1.Google can crawl & index all of the text content users see as they interact with the flash file.
a. google maintains that the text in flash file is treated like text in html.
2.Google can discover links with in flash files.
3.Google support common javascript techinques for embedding flash.

 

Social book marking, Blog Commenting, Article Submission, Directory Submission, Social network participation are the best methods.

Social bookmarking isn't on my list because many of them are no follow now, and the traffic they drive usually doesn't convert/monetize well and is only temporary. Also, I've never seen anyone build a multimillion dollar website in a relatively short time frame (6 months or less) from any one of the methods above by itself, except for #1. If you want examples I can provide them.

 

Just to add what others have mentioned, "Make a website for visitors, not for search engines"; it will be looked upon by search engines also.
