My alexa rank has shot up

For a whille my site was stuck at around the 22 million mark in alexa rankings, but according to my toolbar, it's shot up to 14million I hope this means good things are to come in the future!

What ranks are you guys getting?

how is your adsense earning after the traffic increase ?

if its not made money then its not useful wrt adsense

 

Adsense will take time to rise up. Congrats for the rank. You will soon get better rank.

 

22 million, 14 million are all really useless. you start a blog and within 1 month you can reach less than one million by publishing regularly.

 

I went from 28 million to 4 million in 4 million in 7 days. Four mil is still crap, need to get under 50K, which I know takes a lot of time.

1) I got the Alexa tool bar and installed it on 4 computers in my house. Alexa logs 1 visit per day per IP. So I log into unsecured networks on 2 of my computers and visit my sites every day.

2) Backlinks - I got 300+ backlinks in thpse 7 days by submitting to Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit, Blinklist?, Twitter, Facebook, and prob a dozen others. I know that I'll have close to a thousand links indexed by the time the spiders crawl through all my work.

3) Posting on here with a signature of "Review My Site" helps. Generally nerds have Alexa toolbar installed for promoting their own site, so take advantage of this and get traffic.

4) I do a lot more than what is above, but my site is a blog so I'm not sure if the other numerous and time consuming things I do to promote will help.

5) I'm not sure if you're trying to make money or just kill time, but limiting yourself to 1 webpage is very....limiting. N00bs don't make money online because because (1 reason) they pin all their hopes on one project and hope and pray that it will make them a millionaire. Mistake! Spread your eggs!

My site ( christiansinspace.com ) is now 8 days old and with a lot of work I'm sure it will rank under 100K in a month or so. But I have other sites working and I'm generating traffic surely but surely with help from Twitter. Twitter and SU have been my biggest traffic generators.

I never mind about the Alexa rank since it can be influenced. Just download the alexa toolbar and open your site with the browser enabled with alexa toolbar as many times as possible. Just check whether the increased ranking in alexa transforms in to better conversion or higher adsense earning.

 

Give me a break. It is still in the millions.

 

Alexa only logs ONE visit per IP per day. I wish it was as EZ as you say!

 

With the dynamic IP (which is more common in most of the developing countries), it is sure as many visits. That means, it is EZ

 

Our ranks are below 100K on most websites. One website is at 77K right now. We have custom methods to drive up the referral traffic though. Alexa rank won't tell you much about quality of traffic though.

 

Well I've had my domain registered for 5 or so days, and now its at 7 million.

2 of my sites went from the 14 millions or something like that to the 300,000's !

and one from the 20 Millions to the 1 millions !

 

we came from 18 million to around 800.000 in 3 weeks. i think we doing good.
