If Allah is putting Jesus and a dude who married a 6 year old girl on the same level ... ummm, no. I don't think Allah and El Jahwe are the same.

Christians: Anyone who is not a born again christian is not in God's favor and will suffer come judgement day. No matter whether you were born into a country or situation where christianity isn't taught or not. We are right everyone else is wrong.

P.S. That wasn't arrogant at all.

    Sorry to correct you:

God will judge us according to our fruits and not religions.
You too will be perhaps surprised in who is going to heaven finally.
    God's well considering all circumstances.

The only sin that leads to eternal death is to insult/blaspheme the holy ghost.

They need to wake up, stand up for themselves. Nobody can do it for them, but they are still waiting, waiting and waiting...

Quote from dead corn I like is:
The many good muslim people(emphasize people) are good despite their religion and not because of it.

arnie, no ofense, but i feel you have in your mind the sterotype idea of muslim countries, fortunatly things are not like that, sure there are wackos, the same way there are wackos in any religion, there are always good and bad people. Muhamad said that a muslim is someone who doesnt hurt another with his hands.

Some sterotypes that are true and some that are not, acording to my own experience as a western in a islamic country (and a iranian fiancee):

    sterotype: Muslim countries are poor
truth: People here are very rich and live a very good life, sure there are african muslim countries that are poor, the same way there are african christian countries that are poor, in other words, its not related with the religion.

sterotype: Woman HAVE TO cover themselfes
truth: true in saudi arabia and (since the revolution) in iran too, however here (in the gulf) the vast majority wears it for (believe or not) FASHION , in fact im told that years ago nobody wore abaya or hijab, only the old ladies in village, in fact they even wore miniskirts (due to the heat) , you can wear whatever you want, you wouldnt get arrested or anything like that.

sterotype: Woman are forced to marriage
truth: depends on the families, some allow the woman to choose, some dont (specially in villages), usually they like to marry their own family (cousins). In the "original" islam, women are allowed to choose their husband.

sterotype: Muslims love bin laden, hezbollah, and terrorism
truth: Both sunni and shia Muslims hate bin laden, shia like hezbollah since they see them as a resistance movement, however sunni hate them. And except for a few brainwashed people, the majority hates terrorism and suicide bombers. in fact there are terrorist attacks against muslims countries like egypt , jordan, etc..

ok i gotta work now ;)

Like I said, prior to the invention of islam, "allah" was a moon god. mohammed used the name "allah" because it was already established as a moon god and would make acceptance of his newly created religion easier.

"those savage pagan arabs became united" Yes, suddenly they just became "united." :D With the influence of the sword under "convert or die" situations. How peaceful

Human rights activists in Iran face mounting challenges -- and threats -- under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's administration. But with the focus on the country's nuclear program, persecution of reformists proceeds apace.

The reformist community in Iran was energized. On Sunday evening, Nobel Laureate Shirin Ebadi was scheduled to speak at an anti-discrimination rally in downtown Tehran. Ebadi is renowned for speaking with a willful glare and staccato rhythm that gives her a presence far greater than her petite frame. Days before the event, one activist said he was excitedly looked forward to the moment when Ebadi, soon after taking the stage, would pound the podium with her fist.

But it never happened. Just hours before the scheduled start of the event, the organizers of the rally were denied the necessary permit.

The rejection two days ago was, in some ways, apt. After all, it was not the first time that the young administration of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had frustrated the plans of the 2003 peace prize winner. It was only just over three weeks ago that Ebadi opened the pages of an Iranian newspaper to find a press release from the Interior Ministry announcing the banning of her Center for the Defense of Human Rights in Tehran. For the past four years, through the Center, Ebadi has offered free legal aid to political prisoners, including journalists, students and dissidents who have criticized the government. Most recently, she was busy with women who claim to have been beaten by police after a June women's rights demonstration. Now, Ebadi herself faces the prospect of arrest every time she goes to work.

Ferret, the egyptians had access to the scriptures from the very beginning. The messiah (Jesus, but not with his name yet) was always clearly described as he will be. It's still in the old testament, go and read it.

Don't you think that someone just twisted the story?

I think that the story of jesus got a lot of other stuff tacked on to it, in order to captialize on the myths that that people already believed in, in order to get more converts. Back in those day religions where like armies trying to recruit as much manpaower as possible.

I think the story of horus is in the dead sea scrolls written like 3000 years before christ

I also read somewhere but I cannot find a link, that jesus wasn't considered the son of god until after he was dead for like 200 years

Just because someone wrote it doesn't mean it is true - isn't that what you always say. LOL

Jesus claimed to be the Son of God and was written about by His disciples.

Yo-Yo you write: "Is that how Jesus would reply?"

LOL, this is the first answer of those stung by the truth. Fact is that Jesus flat-out called many people hypocrits, and also many times made use of their own words to show them the hypocracy of themselves for the benefit, not of themselves, for they had ears but could not hear, and eyes but could not see, but for the benefit of others listening.

Jesus lives within me, but I am not God. I fall down quite often, the difference between myself and those who do not have Jesus within them is that they do not have a "carpenter" on call, to rebuild those steps, to tear off those blinding shutters of darkness. To repair and let the light back in.

    I highly recommend it.

BRUM... you write: "Looks like you don't have many admirers Dead Corn.. Take your repentance speeches somewhere else"

Yes, sir, it IS lonely at the top ;) But that has never stopped ANYONE I admire.

    :)

    IN Christ
