Selling my PR4 directory - www.niche-listings.com

I hate to do it but I've taken on more work than I have time for and must sell a directory of mine. www.niche-listings.com

First off, if you are not familiar with eSyndicat, please check out their site and see what it’s like. I’ve used many other directory scripts including PHPLD and believe eSyndicat is by far the best. The reason I like it so much is because of the backend admin interface. It’s extremely easy to use and doesn’t require as much work to approve, edit, and delete submissions as other directory scripts.

The new owner will get everything on the site including:
- eSyndicat Pro License with free lifetime upgrades
- eSyndicat Pro Forum support (have gotten approval from owner of eSyndiat)
- Full Niche-Listings layout and database

There is one condition; the sponsored listings already in the directory must stay in tack for the remainder of their 90 days. Currently 17 are still sponsored.

I will be able to help the new owner out for a short time with anything they need on the site and can host it for a month or so if needed.

The directory usually gets anywhere from 20 to 100 new submissions a day.

The site has been up since the end of April and is currently a PR4 with all the 2nd level pages a PR3 and all the 3rd level pages a PR2 or higher. Many of the 4th level pages also carry a PR2 or PR1 rating.

This directory is currently rated #1 at www.directorycritic.com for paid directories and has been for some time. It's also rated #2 for directories overall.

Many will ask about income. Yes there is income in the directory. I’ve had 29 paid sponsored listings since creating the directory so far. There are a couple click from AdSense every so often, but it’s not reaching its full potential right now. You can make most of your money by using the affiliate programs.

Yes, the links on the right hand side of the directory are the paid sponsored links. They are also the featured links in their category. Currently there are 17 with some time left on their purchase.

Yes, there are 3349+ pending submissions.

That also means there are over 3000+ pages to be added for indexing

With eSyndicat, every page submitted and approved gets its own page for indexing. That's why there are over 2200+ indexed pages in google with only 1600 links. There is a page for all the categories and then again for every site in the directory.

As you can see, almost the whole directory is currently indexed by google.

 

Are the sites "bot submitted" or are they manually submitted with someone effectively browsing your site.

 

That's a very good question and I'm glad you asked. I have not seen any bots submit sites to this directory.

This directory does have Captcha capabilities but I've not needed it because from what I can tell by looking through my logs, all the links were submitted by people traversing the directory.

 

How long those links have to stay up?

I have not done any advertising for the site nor have I pushed it in forums for atleast 2 months. What does that mean? Well traffic is still increasing which is good.
Also, now that it's a PR4 site, I know the next owner can get sponsored (paid) listings just by posting it in the Directory part of this forum because of the PR. I have not done this and will let that be the first income for the new owner.


Finally, here are general stats for the last couple months. Please done pay attention to May, I accidently reset the stats back in may on Statcounter.

dumb question, can you set up a three-way link exchange in this script like in phpld (I have asked in esynd forum, but no answer yet...)

As for 3 way - I don't know. I've never tried and don't see the option but it could be there. Email Simon, he can answer for you.

 

99% of the sites are in Googles supplemental index. Why this?

 

I do not know. I have not done any section targeting with the site. It may be something the new owner should look at to make more profits from Google.
